it was close to a lot of restaurants and see view
thought it was more of a 3 star than a 4 star hotel
It was a very comfortable stay, room was clean and airy.Staff was always pleasnat and helpful.
I would have prefered a mini bar, then stay would have been perfect.
Excellent location and very helpful reception staff
Dirty Carpets No free Wi Fi
I was attending a two day conference that was hosted in the hotel and this was managed in a good manner. Staff that were involved were friendly and helpful.
The staff were very professional and friendly.
They changed the bed sheets and towels everyday, They should ask the guest to put aside towels they would like to change, and change bedsheets every three days. We are in Africa and water shortages is a big issue. So water savings is a must.
The hotel is located centrally and within walking distance of the beach and many other amenities. In terms of the cost it was an attraction as well as my final decision was based on this.
I was allocated a room that had 2 single beds next to each other. My wife and I felt extremely uncomfortable about this. As we arrived late, after 10, we did not want to inconvenience any of the night shift staff. However, the next morning I indicated my concerns to Denzil, who then upgraded me to room 501. When I made the booking, my impression was that all rooms would have the bed facility as a double or king size bed. As I travel a lot, other hotels at less cost would have given me a double bed. In terms of some of the catering arrangements, my wife so much wanted an omlette, but becasue the chef was mixing the meat on the same plate that he was frying the eggs, we decided not persue. When I booked, I indicated the possibility of halaal food. My expectation was that I would receive some form of notification that something special could be arranged.
The location was excellent for me - proximity to the promenade, v & a Waterfront and city bowl. Very comfortable and up market hotel.!
Hotel Staff were very friendly. Sea view was very nice. Sea point promenade is just a road crossing away.
After a certain time at night the entrance door is locked for good reason. Hotel staff is in the office behind reception nearby to entrance, and will open door upon knocking. For the majority of times they are very prompt, but only one time it took about 5 minutes to open the door.
Originally we booked for two nights, after we explained to the hotel staff that the standard of this hotel is below our expectation, they allowed us to check out and refunded us with the rate of one night
They do not have independent shower, the shower was on top of the bath, the worst part was the sewage of the bath was blocked. The sewage stuff was flowed back to the bath.. that was very disgusting and the toilet was too small compare to the other hotel in the same range. The hotel was furnished below the expectation...
Staff were very friendly, rooms clean
Booking in 1 hour late
Staff service was great as well as the location.
We had two twin beds for a couple that could not be changed into a double mattress. Also, we were told that we had a 'mountain view', but looked into the back of another building. Bathroom was small.
Room stank No double bed View of next door chimney Not helpful staff Quite useless
The hotel's location was nice.
The hotel staff is somewhat friendly but not very helpful. All rooms stink of fried food every morning from 6am to 11am. We moved rooms from 2nd to 4th floor but the smell was just as intensive enough to wake us up every single morning and make us sick. Internet is expensive and it doesn't make sense nowadays to still have hotels without free wifi available. Breakfast is expensive.
Friendly staff Spacious room
Waiters slow in restaurant
Wifi should work easier and have more MB
